Cumulative Frequency Graph

Performance Objectives

Students should be able to;

  1. Compute cumulative frequency of grouped data
  2. Draw cumulative frequency curve
  3. Estimate cumulative frequency curve
  4. Apply the cumulative frequency curve in a real-life situation

Cumulative Frequency Graph or OGive

The cumulative frequency of a given class or group is the sum of the frequency of all the classes below and including the class itself.

Cumulative frequency curve is a statistical graph gotten by plotting the upper-class boundaries against cumulative frequencies. It is used to determine among the others: Median, Percentiles (100 divisions), Deciles (10 divisions), Quartiles (4 divisions)
