Meaning of animal nutrition

The food given to farm animals is generally known as livestock feed.

Farm animals need feed for growth, repair of worn-out tissues, energy and the general wellbeing of the animal.

Effect of feed shortage in animal production.                            

Feed shortage will lead to the following effect in animal production;

1. It leads to low birth weight or loss of weight
