Measurement of acidity and alkalinity (pH scale)

The pH scale is numbered from 0-14 is used to measure the degree of acidity and alkalinity of a solution. The term pH denotes hydrogen ion concentration. The pH of a solution can be measured with a pH meter or by the use of a universal indicator. A universal indicator is made up of a mixture of various indicators that works at different pH ranges.
