Meaning and types of families

A family is a group of people who are related by blood or by marriage. Families are the origin of human communities.

Types of family

There are two major types of family, they are;

1. Nuclear family: Nuclear family consist of the father, mother and their children

2. Extended family: Extended family consists of the father, mother and children in addition to any other relatives like cousins, grandparents, niece, aunt, nephew etc.…
