Foreign or modern dance
This is the 21st-century dance step which is usually performed in concert or theatre. Examples of modern dance in Nigeria include Azonto, sekem, shaku-shaku, shakiti bobo, shoki, leg work, gbese, etc. Examples of modern dances are reggae, highlife, classical, rumba, cha-cha dance, disco dance, breakdance, mambo dance etc.
There are various costumes worn in foreign or modern dance; costumes worn for reggae dance are reggae rasta hat, dreadlock wig, baggy trousers and shirt. Reggae costumes are mostly recognized by the colours (green, red and yellow) attached to the outfit.
