1. It leads to self-employment and rapid industrialization.

2. It helps to reduce the crime rate; when someone has the skill to trade, he misses the chances of engaging in anti-social behaviours.

3. It serves as an opportunity for the youth to develop their skills and talents, thereby making them a better person.

4. It facilitates the process of nation-building and development

5. It enables one to consider vital tenets and societal values and committing oneself to worthwhile values.
