Content

The basic qualifications for election.

For contestants

1. He/she must be a legitimate citizen and also twenty-five years old and above

2. He/she must belong to a registered political party

3. He/she must pay tax up to date, and also be an educated person.

For voters

1. He/she must be eighteen years and above and also a legitimate citizen.

2. He/she must be registered during the registration process.

The responsibilities of a voter.

1. Go to the polling booths with their voters’ card in readiness to vote

2. Queue up and be orderly at the pooling booth.

3. When given the ballot paper, they should indicate the candidate of their choice and ensure it is counted after voting.
