Importance of soil to animals

1. Soil provides a home to many animals.
2. All animals get their energy from the soil, either by eating plants or by eating animals that have eaten plants.

The environmental importance of soil

1. Soil filters our water.
2. Provide essential nutrients for our forests and crops.
3. Soil help regulate the earth’s temperature.
4. Soil acts as drainage by absorbing rainwater, therefore, preventing erosion.
