Lack of neighbourhood security or protection in an environment leads to the following;

1. Increase in crime: It will increase the level of crime rate in the neighbourhood. That is a high level of rape cases, increase in murder, high and rising case in drug and human trafficking etc.

2. Loss of properties: There will be displacement or damage to properties when there is an absence of neighbourhood security.
