Neighbourhood security

The neighbourhood is one’s immediate environment, surroundings or vicinity.

Neighbourhood security is the protection of one’s environment in a community.

It can also define a scheme under which members of a community agree together to take responsibility for keeping an eye on each other’s property as a way of preventing crime.

The aim of neighbourhood security includes educating residents of a community on security and safety and achieving safe and secure neighbourhoods. Example of neighbourhood security is Anti-cult police.
