Content

Nutritional disease are diseases that are caused by lack of adequate nutrients in the rations of farm animals. Example of nutritional disease is bloat.

1. Bloat: This is a nutritional disease resulting in the accumulation of gas e.g methene and foam in the rumen of ruminant and their inability to belch and release the gas. Bloat is caused by feeding on immature green pasture and leguminous forage and indigestible substances such as plastic or polythene sheets. Bloat affects cattle,…
