There are different types of crops and they are as follows:

1. Oil Crops: These refer to crops whose seeds or fruits are rich in oil and they are mainly used for making oil. Examples are groundnut, cotton, oil palm, coconut, sunflower etc.

2. Spices Crops: These crops are grown because they are used to flavour food. Examples are ginger, thyme, turmeric, cinnamon, garlic, nutmeg, curry, and pepper.
