The word crop plant is gotten from the combination of two words and they are CROP and PLANT.

A crop is a cultivated plant that is grown on a small or large scale. Examples are cereals, vegetables or fruits.

A plant is a living thing that grows in the earth or water and it has stems, leaves, fruits and roots.
